15 years ago, sylvester r.k / Roman König had the inspiration to play the music he really likes. First he went for drum n bass music which he already played on several parties shortly after his beginnings as a DJ, when he was still called DJ Sylvester. At numerous parties around Berlin he played his sound. Roman König, always nice and charming, started to show his capability more often in clubs in Berlin but also in whole Germany. In 1998, he came to the Berlin radio station Radio Kiss FM, where he played his sounds with his former DJ partner in regular intervals and where he presented his newest discs. During that time he played for example in the arena at Cosmic Zirkus, in the Cookies and other locations in Berlin. After that, he tried to create his sound with HouseMusic & minimaltunes. Since then he puts on Deephousetunes, minimal & Electrostuff. his sound fits him adrift, with a soft bite . This led him away to a known berlin label for electronic music and he gained experience as a producer there and in marketing and he was also responsible for the booking and the PR event organisation of this label. Several times, Roman König sat in his little studio to produce his music which he likes so much. At the beginning, it didn’t work very well since he didn’t even have all the technical requirements. So he was spinning the vinyl diligently, he travelled one week non stop through his neighbouring country Poland and between 2000 and 2004 he played a lot of times in the Berlin scene clubs Sage Club, WMF/GMF and other Berlin Clubs as well as in whole Germany. He also operates an internet radio which playes his own music, his friend’s music and the music of visiting DJ’s. Due to a lot of work, his own initiative and always new interesting creations with his music, he became an always welcome artist. He continued working on his music productions and established the “shadow music” in 2004 with his friends, where deephouseelectrotunes were being produced and in 2009 he established the new project housefreude. Roman König is always in search of new challenges and we are waiting to hear more from him.
